History

Original members and childhood friends Sebastian Marcus and Fredrik Lunquist started playing music together in Stockholm during their early teenage years. Self-taught and inspired primarily by Metallica, they formed a local band with classmates in Årsta, Stockholm in 2003.

Years later when the, then current, line-up disbanded Sebastian and Fredrik convinced Uffe Brandt, a classmate of Sebastian, to join as head vocalist in 2009. While self-taught, Uffe provided an energy to the childhood-duo that would inspire them both to keep working with their musical talents.

After Uffe joined the line-up they went through an arduous process of trial-and-error in searching for prospective drummers. Not until 2011 would the trio find a drummer with the right frame of mind, vision and skills to be an integral part of the line-up. Marcus Wigren, a classmate of Fredrik, joined the band for a few sessions before deciding to become a part of the metal quartet known as Salience.

Salience is currently based out of Huddinge in the southern region of the Stockholm area.
